Each Chapter is 1-2 pages long and includes little pen and ink drawings to help the child begin to use his or her own imagination while listening to the story. The prose is simple yet imaginative and descriptive. Appropriate for a 4-7 year old. May be used as a reader for 8-10 year olds. 103 pages, 6x9 inches, paperback. We read this delightful book over the period of 2 weeks to our 4 and 7 year old children. We all enjoyed it and Tiptoes, Jeremy Mouse, and the other creatures have become a part of our family. We just began reading it a second time and it is just as magical as the first time. As a parent I often edit out content I don't think is appropriate for my children in chapter books (especially for my 4 year old). Your whole family will enjoy every word in this book. Enjoy!
