Set of two wonderful 1/4 tintype photos of a little girl, or a little girl and her older sister? Taken in the late-1850s by J.C. Cray, who was a photographer in Murfreesboro, Tenne ssee at this time. The mats of both images are marked "J.C. CRAY". The younger girl is holding a great doll across her lap and there is some original tinting in the image. The older girl is wearing an off-shoulder dress and it appears there is some light pink tinting in her cheeks. Both tintypes are behind mat and cover glass in half of a case.
