This is a model commemorating Ikebe's 50th anniversary, created by popular Toyama maker, Keisuke Fujii. Fujii Guitars is a guitar brand created by luthier Keisuke Fujii, who has a workshop in Toyama Prefecture. After starting his career under his mentor Kenji Sugita, he went independent in 2012. He has rapidly distinguished himself and can be said to be one of Japan's leading makers today. The delicate, highly musical sound born from outstanding craftsmanship and the simple, sophisticated design that brings out the natural beauty of the wood are unmatched, earning them high praise from professional musicians both in Japan and abroad. This is a special model produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Ikebe Musical Instruments. The 00 cutaway body is easy to hold and well-balanced, and the top is made of Fujii's signature fully figured Bear Claw Sitka Spruce. The back and sides are also made of beautifully grained Indian rosewood. Both the top and back are made from excellent materials carefully selected by Fujii. The head plate, binding, and bridge are made of Macassar ebony, with a marquetry rosette and Cosmo Black Gotoh tuning machines, all of which complement the gorgeous top material. The cutaway is also slanted to an original shape, making it easier to access the high positions, and the look is also a testament to Fujii's unique attention to detail. Fujii's OO model has a very well-balanced range from high to low end, and an outstanding response that rises from the moment you pick, giving it a feeling that it picks up every delicate fingering. In particular, this model uses the basic materials of Sitka and Indian rosewood, which I feel brings out Fujii's sound tendencies more naturally and clearly. Despite its small, easy-to-hold body size, it produces a rich, solid volume even with a light touch, and its fretting technique, highly acclaimed by many players, means you can play without exerting excessive force, making it a masterpiece that allows you to concentrate on music and enjoy it for long periods of time. I am always amazed by the skill and sense with which they maximize the potential of wood using their unique sensibilities and solid technical skills, and then finish it with a musical sound. Please take this opportunity to try out this wonderful instrument, which can only be appreciated at a glance and when you play a note.-SPEC- Body Shape: OOscw Top: Full Figured Bearclaw Sitka Spruce Sides & Back: Indian Rosewood Neck: Khaya Bridge: Macassar Ebony Head Plate: Macassar Ebony Binding: Macassar Ebony Rosette: Parquet Scale Length: 632mm Nut Width: Approx. 44.5mm Strings Width at Bridge: 56.0mm Fret: Jescar Tuner: Gotoh 510 Case: Grand Oply
