Released in 1978, the DS-1 was a driving force behind the high-gain pedals of the time. It gained consistent popularity thanks to its use by leading heavy metal/heavy metal figures, as well as artists representing grunge and alternative rock. We believe this item was shipped around 1982 during the black screw period. There are scratches and signs of use on the case, but considering the age, it is in relatively good condition. There is some damage to the rubber cushion on the black screw. The op-amp IC is the TA7136AP. The distortion sound, which remains clear even when the gain is increased, was revolutionary at the time, and it's no wonder it's now being reevaluated. *This model is compatible with ACA adapters.
