The 82350A makes it easy to access and control instruments and exchange data. This is a high-speed, PCI card with built-in buffering, which de-couples GPIB transfers from the PCI bus transfers. Buffering provides I/O and system performance that is superior to direct memory access (DMA)–up to 750 KB/s. The 82350A comes with SICL and VISA software for Windows 95/98/NT/2000/Me. The I/O Libraries now support the 82350A on multiprocessor computers with Windows NT or Windows 2000. The hardware is software configurable and compatible with the plug-and-play standard for easy hardware installation. The GPIB interface card plugs into a PCI slot in the backplane of your PC. Via a GPIB cable, this card connects to GPIB instruments. For VXI applications a GPIB cable connects the card to the command module in Slot 0 of the VXI mainframe.
