SR Prestige The #4500 model features an ash body and maple fingerboard, characterized by its robust sound and clear tone. Since its inception in 1987, Ibanez has consistently creat ed SR Soundgear basses that are always in line with the times, incorporating the voices of numerous bassists and the latest trends in music and fashion. The SR's identity, which has remained unchanged since its inception, is that of an electric bass with a compact body that fits comfortably against the body, a slim neck, and a wide range of sounds. Maintaining the meticulousness, high performance, and superior playability that we have always pursued, we are renewing the SR model of our Made in Japan high-end Prestige series as a professional bass that re-examines the sound, tone, and versatility from the ground up. ■ Ash wood 3D arched SR body: The body is made of ash wood, which is characterized by its attack, punchy and resonant sound, and clear tone. It has a burst color gloss finish. ■ The Atlas HP Slim Neck, meticulously shaped to provide the ultimate grip for all players. ■ Equipped with Nordstrand Big Single pickups with wood covers. These Nordstrand Big Single pickups are characterized by their clarity, similar to single-coil pickups, and their powerful, aggressive sound. Pickup cover: Rosewood ■ Tone control that functions in both EQ ON and bypass modes. ■ Equipped with a switch to select from 3 patterns of mid-range frequencies, Sonitech active 3-band EQ In addition to a 3-band equalizer that produces a wide-range and low-noise active sound, it is equipped with tone control. (Pulling up the tone knob bypasses the EQ.) Tone control is possible not only when the EQ is ON, but also when the EQ is bypassed. Furthermore, a mini-switch allows you to select from three different frequency bands for adjusting the midrange, which is crucial for the bass sound. By switching the DIP switches on the back panel, you can change the pattern to either a high-mid or low-mid emphasis. ■Prestige Fret Edge Treatment: Equipped with nickel-silver frets, which are harder than those on the conventional SR Prestige model.
