"F's Uke" is a handmade ukulele made by Tatsuro Furubayashi, who studied under Yukinobu Chaichi, the founder of Chaichi Guitar Studio, which has produced many great luthiers. Tatsuro Furubayashi dreamed of becoming a guitar maker while he was a university student, and spent 12 years training in string instrument making at Yukinobu Chai's workshop in Machida City. In 2010, he went independent and established the Fs uke handmade ukulele workshop in Iruma City, Saitama Prefecture. He has now moved to Hokota City, Ibaraki Prefecture, where he continues to research fine string instruments and receives guidance from senior ukulele makers who have worked at Chai's workshop. He strives every day to create ukuleles that have never been seen before. His works have been praised by many professional musicians and have been featured in specialist magazines. This is a concert model with a spruce top and koa sides and back. Its sound lies somewhere between a guitar and a ukulele, making it a perfect ukulele for Furubayashi, who builds and researches both guitars and ukuleles. Its crisp sound and easy-to-handle size, despite being a tenor, add to its appeal, while the maple binding and purfling on the shell give it a luxurious feel. There are some minor scratches that are not visible in the images and it shows signs of use, but overall it is in good condition. There are plenty of frets remaining and the neck is in good condition, so it is ready to play right away. This is a recommended model for those looking for a great value model made in a domestic workshop. This particular piece is a Low-G model.SPEC TOP:Spruce SIDE&BACK:Hawaiian Koa NECK: Mahogany FINGERBOARD:Ebony BRIDGE:Koa Hard case included
