Made in Italy, this is a fabulous yarn-dyed bengaline stretch woven, an upscale cotton/spandex blend that looks the same on both sides. PLEASE NOTE: The stretch (about 5%) runs ver tically, so you would cut your garment across the grain (so that the stretch runs horizontally on your garment). It's a light pants weight in a muted plum tone called "sparrow" (PANTONE 18-1404 - ish), made from a tightly woven mix of black and plum fibers. Perfect for trousers, fitted jacket, skirt, sheath dress, overshirt, etc. It is opaque with some cottony body in the drape.
