Producer Gran Sesso vineyards are situated in Abruzzo, in the central-eastern part of Italy, on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. The nearest major city is Rome. The two major grape v arieties grown in the region are Trebbiano and Montepulciano. Gran Sesso farms and owns all its vineyards, and the vines are 15-20 years old. Tasting Note The makers have gone easy on the oak, which is not always typical for the region and variety, resulting in a balanced fruit-forward wine with just enough restraint.
