Despite its compact, easy-to-hold body, it delivers solid sound pressure and a rich low end. The body is deeper than the Traditional shape of the same model, so the center of gravity is more in the low mids, producing a thick, lustrous sound that is ideal for solo guitar styles. The pickup system is Maton's original AP5 Pro dual system, which blends an under-saddle piezo and a condenser microphone. The condenser microphone's moveable gooseneck allows for fine-tuning to achieve the desired sound and eliminate feedback issues, a very welcome feature. Additionally, a low-frequency filter is applied to counter feedback, a common weakness of condenser microphones, making it less susceptible to feedback even in loud band situations, ensuring comfortable use. In the preamp section, you can control the volume of each piezo and microphone, as well as the master volume that determines the overall volume, and a 3-band EQ.
