This is a distortion with a nice, solid "weight" feel. Tones that produce thick, heavy distortion can sometimes sound boomy, but this is not the case with the FINE DS. Unlike the b eautiful, silky distortion of Animato, FINE produces a heavy, rich distortion. However, simply boosting the lows would eliminate the quick response and result in a slow distortion. FINE DS, with its fast response and heavy, thick sound quality, is another distortion from HUMAN GEAR that has a different presence than Animato. *The paint on Human Gear products peels off easily, so even when new products arrive, there may be some peeling or uneven paint.
