The Masterbuilt series J/MM style, which combines high-quality wood, is now available! Founded in 1979, Sadowsky Guitars established the "Active JB" style, now adopted by many manufacturers, by modifying instruments used by New York studio musicians, including the famous Marcus 77JB, and by manufacturing instruments under its own brand. This led to the creation of new possibilities for bass sounds in the music scene from the 1980s onwards. Sadowsky instruments, which have a variety of sounds that can be used in any musical genre, are low-noise, and offer the ultimate in functionality, have always been with musicians through the ages and continue to evolve. The current Metro Line series, manufactured and sold under license by Warwick, inherits the Sadowsky circuit, which is renowned for its practical sound, and takes advantage of the factory's abundant wood and state-of-the-art equipment to produce a wide variety of high-quality basses. The "Custom Shop/MasterBuilt" series, in particular, boasts a high-quality finish using carefully selected materials that rival those in NYC. The body top is made of padauk, a rare wood with a vibrant red hue that is also used in high-end furniture. Due to its durability, it is also used for the neck and fingerboard of musical instruments. This model features a well-balanced body top with a deep reddish core and a natural sapwood color, a specification only Warwick, which boasts one of the world's largest wood stocks, can achieve. Furthermore, by combining lightweight okoume wood for the back of the body, this 5-string bass weighs just 3.59 kg, making it extremely light, even for an artist with an intense stage presence, allowing them to fully concentrate on their performance. The neck is made of roasted flame maple, which has a pronounced flame grain, resulting in a thick, woody sound with a moderately mature finish. The fingerboard is made of Madagascar rosewood, which is said to have a sound similar to that of Brazilian rosewood and is also durable, creating a crisp, well-defined sound that is not affected by slapping or picking. This 5-string model features a stacked humbucker front J-Mic pickup and a quarter-pound MM rear pickup, each of which can be switched between parallel, series, or coil tap with a mini switch. By combining this with the 2-band EQ and tone control, a wide variety of sounds can be created. *Although the model name is listed as 2024, it will not be available in Japan until summer 2025.[MB21 MJ5 LTD2024] ■Body:Heavily Marbled Padouk Top / Okoume Back ■Neck: Roasted Flamed Maple (C-Shape, Bolt-On), 34inch (864 mm) ■Fingerboard: Madagascar Rosewood ■Nut: Sadowsky Just-A-Nut III, 1.75 (44.5 mm) ■Frets: 21 Nickel Silver (width: 0.094 (2.4 mm) / height: 0.051 (1.3 mm)) ■Pickup: Sadowsky J-Style - Stacked, Passive, Hum-cancelling/Passive Humbucker (Quad Coil) with Alnico V Magnets ■Preamp: Active Sadowsky 2-way electronics with Vintage Tone Control (VTC) ■Controls: Volume, Balance, Tone (Pull/Pass), Treble/Bass ■Toggle switch: Series / Parallel / Single Coil ×2 ■Bridge Sadowsky bridge with quick string release (18 mm) ■Machine Heads Sadowsky light open gear machine heads ■Strings Sadowsky Blue Label, Nickel, Taperwound, 045 ? 130 Weight: 3.58 kg Gig bag included
