Broadcast features a discrete, transformer-coupled, Class-A germanium circuit inspired by classic 1960s recording consoles. This circuitry saturates and colors the signal in a unique way, allowing for sharp clean boosts, delicately colored and thick signals with frayed edges, or pushed for fuzzy, frizzy, and characterful overdrive sounds. The Broadcast 24V-DUAL-JPN utilizes this classic transformer-coupled, discrete, Class A germanium circuit, powered internally by 24V from a standard 9V power supply. The increased voltage provides more headroom and tighter low frequencies. It's ideal for those seeking reduced saturation and harshness without sacrificing the distinctive Broadcast sound. The Broadcast 24V-DUAL-JPN features a right-side footswitch for selecting gain mode (LOW or HIGH) (a blue LED illuminates when in HIGH gain mode), and each mode has its own independent level control. Additionally, an internal trimmer allows for fine-tuning the gain in HIGH mode. Left switch – bypasses the pedal (red LED indicates the pedal is active) Right switch – toggles between low and high gain modes (blue LED indicates high gain mode is selected) LEVEL LOW – Controls the volume of the pedal in LOW gain mode LEVEL HIGH – Controls the volume of the pedal in HIGH gain mode GAIN TRIM – Controls the gain level (both low and high gain modes) (higher settings gently roll off the high frequencies of the signal) LOW CUT - Attenuates low frequencies (this control is at the front of the broadcast circuit, so it works in conjunction with the GAIN control) Internal trimmer – Adjusts the amount of gain in high gain mode. Allows for a variety of settings, from a slight gain boost in high gain mode to full fuzz. DC Socket – Broadcast requires a DC power supply unit (PSU). Please make sure the PSU provides 9V, a minimum of 50mA, and has a 2.1mm center negative plug. Using any other type of PSU may damage the pedal.
