A rare used 2010 custom Martin Style 5K concert ukulele, the pinnacle of Martin ukulele! Martin was founded in 1833 in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. This manufacturer is extremely famous as the founder of acoustic guitars, having produced many world-famous models such as the Dreadnought and Triple O. Although the manufacturer is now known as a leading guitar manufacturer, it has been producing ukuleles since 1907 and is also a long-established ukulele manufacturer with a history of over 100 years. Martin has released many models, but this Style 5K is the top-of-the-line model. This model was only produced for 18 years, from 1922 to 1940, but its overwhelming presence, featuring carefully selected, top-grade Hawaiian Koa solid wood and gorgeous abalone pearl inlays, continues to captivate many players today. This is a concert model that has been brought back to life in modern times using the skills of a custom shop that only highly expert craftsmen are allowed to work in, based on the legendary Style 5K. This legendary model is even more prestigious with the Tree of Life finish. This extremely rare example is truly the best of the best in the ukulele world. The binding has peeled off around the outside of the body due to shrinkage over time, but we have repaired it with glue at our affiliated workshop. Since the repair work required removing the binding, there is some slight peeling of the paint around the outer edge. There was also peeling in the bridge, under the fingerboard, and back brace, so we are having them repaired with glue at our affiliated workshop. We have also carried out a full inspection of other parts, so there are currently no concerns regarding performance. In terms of sound, the rich, sweet tone produced by the finest Hawaiian Koa is irresistible. The strings are incredibly bright and responsive when strummed, and the way each note melts into a chord is heavenly. The low range and volume not found in regular 5K speakers are a special tone that can only be experienced with this concert model. The carefully selected materials and the natural reverb emitted from the slightly larger body are more than enough to prove that this ukulele is a superb instrument. This instrument makes you feel like you are holding the very best instrument. This is a supreme instrument that you should definitely try playing in your hands.BODY SIZE: Concert Ukulele FINISH TOP: Gloss CONSTRUCTION: Dovetail Neck Joint BACK AND SIDE FINISH: Gloss BRACING PATTERN:Concert Ukulele SCALE LENGTH: 17 BRACE SHAPE: Non-Scalloped FINGERBOARD WIDTH AT NUT:1 11/22 TOP MATERIAL:solid highly-flamed Hawaiian koa BACK MATERIAL:solid highly-flamed Hawaiian koa NECK TAPER: Standard Taper SIDE MATERIAL: solid highly-flamed Hawaiian koa
