Despite its mini size, this is a boost, crunch, and drive pedal that features Gain, Volume, 3-band EQ, and a distinctive boost switch. This pedal was jointly developed by guitarist Yoshinobu Ohga and legendary guitar tech Hakkai. It targets the crunch to mid-gain sound of Ohga's discontinued "34-Xtreme" model, and in addition to adding EQ to create a wider sound, it also features a distinctive boost switch with a narrow Q mid-peak (the peak can be adjusted internally), making it a compact pedal that can meet a variety of needs. After several years of discussions with Ohga, and with the help of special advisor Hakkai at the end of the development process, the PLEXI outputs a fat sound, just as its name suggests. Show more
