The 424 GAIN STAGE recreates the bouncy, lo-fi tone you get when plugging your guitar directly into one of the multi-track recorders made popular in the 80s and 90s. This pedal-style model allows you to easily incorporate into your system the sparkling clean tone, wide headroom, and extreme fuzz that are being rediscovered by today's young guitarists. To give you a clear example, it recreates the sound of Mk.Gee! Other artists that are included include up-and-coming artists like Steve Lacey, Malcolm Todd, D4vd, and Omar Apollo, as well as Mac Demarco, Spoon, Radiohead, and all sorts of so-called bedroom pop and direct-in-tone sounds. To accurately recreate the history of this equipment, we have perfectly recreated the original MTR circuitry, as well as the original UPC4570 and NJM4565 op-amps and all the original controls. This is essential for recreating the amazing sound and unique character of vintage equipment. The gain controls (Trim, Channel Volume, Master Volume) replicate the channel strip interaction of the originals, allowing you to tailor your tone to your liking. Additionally, you can fine-tune the low and high EQ settings. The unit also features both a 1/4-inch output and a balanced XLR output (DI out) for maximum flexibility in any situation, whether live or studio.FEATURE - Like the original, it uses UPC4570 and NJM4565 op amps. -The pedal format makes it easy to connect to an amplifier. - The coordination of trim, channel volume, and master volume is also reproduced just like the original model. - Equipped with a DI output, it can be connected directly to a mixer or interface, and can also output to an amplifier and mixer simultaneously. - Buffered bypass and quiet soft-touch switching.
