Guitarist of the Swedish progressive metal trio Freak Kitchen. The distortion pedal "PUPPY" was born as a collaboration between "Freak Guitar Lab" founded by Mattias IA Eklundh and "Kogalashi Sound Magic". Mattias, who is adept at playing the 8-string guitar, was particularly focused on the low range that is unique to multi-string guitars. It is equipped with a Growl control that adjusts the low-frequency range to achieve sufficient distortion, a thick, heavy, deep sound, and no muddiness. It is designed to be compatible with not only 8-string guitars but also multi-string guitars such as 7-string and 9-string guitars, as well as down tunings such as drop D. You can also get a smooth, singing lead tone by using the Texture control, which changes the texture of the distortion, and the Edge control, which adjusts the high frequencies.■Control■ Growl: Adjusts the low frequencies. For a 6-string guitar, 12 o'clock is sufficient, but if you are using a down-tuned guitar or multiple strings (especially an 8-string with a low E like Mattias's), you can get a deeper sound by raising the tuning beyond 12 o'clock. Texture: Adjusts the texture of the distortion. Turning it up will give you an open, rough sound, while turning it down will give you a smoother sound. Edge: Adjusts the high frequencies. Compensates for the amount of high frequency change that occurs when adjusting the Texture. Level: Adjusts the volume. It functions as a master volume that determines the final volume. Gain: Adjusts the gain. This product is designed to produce sufficient distortion even when the gain is turned all the way down. *To use this product, a center negative Φ2.1 size DC9V adapter (sold separately) is required.
