Michael di Cosola This 1986 colorful pastel and graphite on black paper is by Abstract Surrealist San Francisco artist Michael di Cosola (1929-2010). Di Cosola studied at the Chica go Art Institute before moving to the Bay Area to study at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. He had a studio in North Beach during the height of the neighborhood's art scene and exhibited at several Bay Area art galleries in the 1960s. Di Cosola is known for psychedelic, Surrealist portraiture and abstractions. February 15, 1986 Pastel and Graphite on Paper 14.75"x18.5" framed, 9.75"x12.75" unframed Signed and dated in the image area in the lower right. Good vintage condition.
