This new comp osite fiber does more than simply mimic the structure of cane; it replicates the essential physical properties of cane to achieve the same acoustic properties as a cane reed. VK Reeds are manufactured using completely new materials and methods that are internationally patented. VK reeds and their materials are produced in Bormes-les-Mimosas, France, and are 100% recyclable. There are two types of VK reeds for tenor saxophones: the traditional type "VK1 (7 hardness levels)" and the jazz type "VK7 (6 hardness levels)."
