☆Vintage☆ We have a new Ludwig Universal model in stock, manufactured around the 1920s. This 6-tension model was sold as a budget version of the 8-tension brass shell snare drums that were available at the time. The shell edge is folded twice to provide reinforcement, making it extremely durable. Equipped with a non-flanged hoop, it has a soft, full-bodied tone and a moderately open sound. There are scratches and dirt appropriate for the age, distortion of the hoop, peeling plating, etc., and signs that suggest it was repaired at an overseas shop, and the butt section has been replaced from the original. In addition, there are about three different types of hooks mixed up, and tension bolts of different lengths have been installed on the top and bottom leather. The strainer attached to the hoop is probably missing the snappy fixing plate. Size: 14x4 Shell: Brass Hoop: Steel straight hoop / 6 tension lug: Tube lug
