This is a special snare drum made with a shell from the Italian handmade brand DrumArt, assembled at Pearl Japan's custom workshop, D-Flavor. -Drum Art 100% Made in Italy Shell- Drum Art is a group of Italian artisans who handcraft professional snare drums and drumsticks. The instruments are manufactured in Italy by craftsmen who are also drummers and love music, and are made from carefully selected, top-quality wood. To create a shell that balances sound and beauty, the wood is carefully assembled over a period of 4 to 10 years, combining the most compatible pieces. Perfectly welded with high-quality violin-making glue specially formulated for each wood species, The original design of the bearing edge, careful lathing on the exterior, polishing, and waterproofing are all part of the artistic solid body. -Balkan Maple- Hard maple is one of the most suitable materials for musical instruments, and we use wood from the Balkan Mountains in Bosnia, which is said to have the best growing environment. It is hard, strong and durable, with an excellent balance of tone, attack and sustain. After many years of maturing and thorough drying, high-quality, stable parts are selected according to strict selection criteria and processed into extra-thick blocks. These are connected with pegs made of the same material, resulting in a shell that is extremely round and strong, with no distortion.It is solid and heavy, and produces overwhelming sound pressure and volume. To further bring out the unique sound of each material, the finish is as thin as possible and the parts used contribute to an open sound.
