[A very rare early Istabul Turk finish flat ride is now in stock!] This is a 20-inch flat-ride cup with a Turk finish made by Istanbul, an early company before the company split in to Agop and Mehmet. The back of the cup is signed by Agop and Mehmet. The flat ride has no bell, resulting in a subtle, refined ping sound. It also offers excellent sticking control, making it particularly useful for acoustic music and accompanying solo parts. In recent years, it has been adopted as a new legato variation in a variety of music genres, from R&B, Hip Hop, and pop to digital music. The Turk finish is a manufacturing method that does not polish the cymbal at all, and the finish is full of the texture of the material, with the marks left by hand hammering remaining as they are.
