The Providence QCC-101 (Cable Checker) is a must-have portable cable tester developed to prevent equipment problems during live performances and recording sessions. It can quickly and reliably check the continuity of frequently used cables, such as phone cables (TS/TRS) and the 2.1mm DC power cables often used with effects pedals. ■Functions/Features●It is particularly useful when using homemade cables or solderless cables, allowing you to easily and accurately check continuity after production or wiring when installing on an effects board.Even in cases where connection accuracy during assembly is important, such as with solderless cables, you can quickly identify breaks, shorts, and continuity errors, allowing you to take the cable to the field with peace of mind. The compact design and 9V battery (006P type) make it easy to carry. The red LED indicator on the power section lets you check the remaining battery level at a glance, eliminating the worry of running out of power while working. Furthermore, the included extension cable makes it easy to test short patch cables. Whether checking cables before a performance, checking the operation of a completed homemade cable, or performing regular maintenance, the QCC-101 provides reliable cable testing for a wide range of applications, contributing to peace of mind and efficiency on-site. ■How to use Make sure both ends of the cable are properly connected to the jacks. Test by turning the knob to positions A, B, and C in order. ● Position A: The green LED is on and the red LED is off → You can check the continuity of the sleeve. If the red LED lights up, there may be a continuity problem. ● Position B: The green LED lights up and the red LED goes out → This confirms that the chip is conductive. If the red LED lights up, there may be a continuity problem. ● Position C: The green LED is on and the red LED is off → You can check the continuity of the ring. If the red LED lights up, there may be a lack of continuity. Note: Since TS cables do not have a ring, the green LED will also light up when the knob is turned to the C position; this is normal. LED meanings A: Sleeve, B: Tip, C: Ring Green LED lights up → Normal (Pass) Red LED is on → Fail ■SPECIFICATIONS Jacks: TS/TRS phone x 2, DC x 2 Size: 98(W) x 62(H) x 58(D) mm (including protrusions) Weight: 104g (batteries not included) Accessories: 9V test battery, extension cable
