Dutch instrument craftsman Jan Knorren is unusually skilled among electric bass builders in that he is also well-versed in the techniques of cello and double bass construction and repair.The instruments he creates using this extensive knowledge and experience have a solid yet warm tone reminiscent of acoustic instruments, and his organic tone, which brings out the characteristics of carefully selected high-quality wood, is highly regarded around the world, especially by jazz players. The body is made of a luxurious solid, beautifully figured maple, the neck is made of the same high-quality figured maple as the body, and the fingerboard is made of ebony. This 5-string fretless model is equipped with a custom humbucking pickup from Hoisel with a wood cover. The instruments Knorrén creates are solid yet somehow reminiscent of acoustic instruments, with a warmth and natural softness of wood. The airy sound that fully utilizes the character and characteristics of the high-quality materials is unique and can only be experienced with Knorrén instruments. Furthermore, the guitars are equipped with custom coil-tap pickups and a preamp with a dip switch (300/500/800 Hz) that changes the mid-range frequency range, allowing for a wide range of sound creation. There are some small dents on the neck, including a 3x8mm dent at the base, but fortunately nothing too severe that would interfere with playability. Other minor scratches include deep scuffs on the bottom of the body, buckle scratches and other dents on the back, and minor dents and signs of use on the top surface. The bridge has previously been replaced with a "BABICZ" bridge. The fingerboard has been lightly sanded and cleaned and is in excellent condition with no buzzing or choking. The neck is in excellent condition and the truss rod works well. There are no issues with the electrical system at present. Each instrument is carefully crafted by artisan Jan Knorr, so there are only a few in circulation in Japan. Hurry!!
