The ROSS Compressor Gray Box, along with the MXR and Dyna Comp, reigns supreme among vintage compressor pedals and continues to have a profound influence on compressors produced si nce. This particular pedal is a relatively late model, with "SUSTAIN" and "LEVEL" labeling on the controls. Based on the specifications of each part, we believe it was shipped around 1979. While the housing shows signs of use, it is in good condition, with the feel of a vintage instrument. The OTA IC is the LM3080N, which has a unique, popping compression feel and a warm, extended sustain. The rich, natural tone is comfortable and easy on the ears.
