Following the highly acclaimed Kyoto-inspired coloring of the Headway and Momose brands, a new cherry blossom ukulele has been born that evokes the elegant atmosphere of Kyoto! The sound hole label features an original "Kyoto Weave" label by Tatsunoya, a Kyoto weaver who inherits the tradition of Nishijin weaving. This model also features a flat fingerboard with no radius, focusing on how the right hand contacts the strings when strumming, resulting in a more ukulele-like playing feel. The coloring is based on the theme of "purple," the color of the ancient capital of Kyoto. It is finished in all lacquer, a first for Sakura Ukuleles, and enhances the texture and sound. "We want to create a new style of textile.
