ID'd Civil War Soldier & Wife Tintype Ambrotype Lot

A lot of two images, a 1/9 tintype of a Civil War soldier and 1/9 ambrotype of his wife housed in union cases. They are identified inside of the cases with little clippings of news paper as Horace Fritz and his wife Anna. Fritz (1833-1886) was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in Robertson's Independent Pennsylvania Light Artillery Militia battery on September 12, 1862. He served until he was mustered out on September 23, 1862. He was then commissioned as a 1st Lieutenant in Fitzki's Independent Pennsylvania Light Artillery Militia battery on July 6, 1863, and served until he wad mustered out on August 24, 1863. Anna Elizabeth “Annie” Rex Fritz was born in 1839 and died in 1913. Both the images are in very good antique condition. Zoom to see condition details. 8462(x) Show more
