This highly popular model is packed with Momose's signature features, including a recessed joint plate in the heel cut, wood binding, and an original headstock. This particular model, the "MC2-STD/M," features an ash body and a maple fingerboard. This truly showcases the power of "Made in Japan"! Inheriting the fundamental structure of vintage ST guitars pursued by Momose, it boasts a traditional sound and tone. Furthermore, it pushes the boundaries of customization that emphasizes modern playability, and based on Momose's core philosophy of "processing according to the individual differences in mass, elasticity, and resonance of each material," it pursues the possibilities of vintage style through completely handcrafted production. It elevates the total quality to a unique original style. Designed with a slightly wider cutaway body shape for smoother shifts to higher positions and improved playability, this guitar features a classic yet impactful headstock shape. The adjustment mechanism retains its design for instant setup while redesigning its shape for even more effortless adjustment. The neck shape, finished with a semi-matte, ultra-thin top lacquer and meticulous sanding, creates a smooth playing feel, further enhancing the grip and overall aesthetic. The 210R fingerboard, which eliminates fret buzz in the high positions or when bending notes, and the medium-sized, slightly higher Jim Dunlop USA #6105 frets, which make fingering easy with accurate pitch, remain the same. However, by applying wood binding made of the same material as the fingerboard to the sides of the fingerboard to cover the tangs of the frets, an even smoother neck grip is achieved, and the "burr" problem caused by use in harsh conditions is also prevented. In the neck joint, while retaining the traditional method of using a joint plate, a recessed design and a unique heel cut have been adopted to further pursue playability. Furthermore, the joint plate used is made of a high-density material that pursues sound quality. Furthermore, attention to quality is evident throughout, with features such as tuners equipped with GOTOH's Magnum Lock mechanism for highly accurate pitch maintenance, and a custom-made bridge with a 10.8mm string spacing.
