It features a beautiful silhouette with an OM (orchestra) body and a unique, shallowly curved Venetian cutaway. Its sophisticated design and sound have earned it a reputation as a "modern classic," and it has received tremendous acclaim, especially from fingerstyle players. Its looks belie its thick, substantial fundamental tone, and despite its OM body, its wide dynamic range makes it feel like you're playing a dreadnought. And yet, it responds quickly to picking, with the entire body vibrating supplely even with a light touch, and even when you touch harder, the sound image is retained without being distorted, resulting in a sound balance that is incredibly faithful to the player's touch nuances. We asked Mr. Fujioka to set up the contact and magnetic pickups, and the setup is designed to bring out the full potential of both pickups.
