The TAMA Starclassic Performer series is a drum set that inherits the "excellent shell res onance" of Starclassic, while reviewing and evolving the shell materials and hardware to meet modern needs. As a 2025 limited edition model, we will be releasing a five-piece drum set and snare drum featuring the exclusive "Green Globe Aurora" color scheme combined with black nickel hardware. The distinctive vertical stripes, hand-painted by artisans, create a unique design on each drum. The overlapping shades of various greens create a depth reminiscent of sacred forests. Furthermore, the black nickel hardware gives the entire drum kit a dark and mysterious presence. Shells (Maple/Birch) The shell material is a hybrid shell that combines two plies of maple on the inside and birch on the outside. The warmth and clarity of the maple shell is complemented by the distinct sound image and solid attack of the birch. It delivers a clear, balanced and punchy sound. Die-Cast Hoops The highly rigid zinc die-cast hoop keeps the contact surface between the head and hoop perpendicular at all times, allowing it to respond sensitively to even the most critical tuning. Another major attraction is the powerful sound with a clear fundamental tone. ●Star-Cast Mounting System The tom mount uses the Star-Cast Mounting System, which is designed to be held by the hoop in the hand, so as not to interfere with the sound of the tom shell. The tom-toms are mounted on an arm plate that is supported at three points on the hoop via vibration-damping rubber. Vibrations from the head are transmitted efficiently to the shell without being lost to other parts. ●Green Grove Aurora Finishes The vertical stripes are created by pouring solvent into the green base paint, and are hand-painted by artisans.
