Analog VCA Compressor Inspired by the bus compressor found on vintage SSL® mixing desks, the Bus Driver offers a truly user-friendly approach to studio-quality sound, from transparent to heavy compression, with vibrant LED bars that clearly show the gain reduction. ◆Control details・COMPRESSION Adjusts the amount of gain reduction. The amount of compression can be seen in the GAIN REDUCTION meter.・MAKEUP Apply a post-compression gain boost to compensate for the reduction.・ATTACK Controls the time it takes for compression to kick in once the signal level exceeds the threshold. Turning this knob clockwise increases the attack time.・RELEASE Controls the recovery time after compression is applied. Turn this knob clockwise for a longer release time.・RATIO Sets the ratio of gain reduction after the signal exceeds the threshold. Higher settings will reduce dynamics but produce a more pronounced feeling of compression. Settings are 2:1, 4:1, and 10:1.・AUTO RELEASE Activated by holding down both the RATIO and SC HPF buttons. In this mode, the RELEASE control is disabled and the signal is automatically controlled according to the input signal.・SC HPF Reduces the amount of compression in the low frequencies. Higher settings result in gentler compression and more bass and low-end punch. Settings (left to right) are 0 Hz, 100 Hz, and 200 Hz. - TRUE BYPASS (with memory function) The Bus Driver uses a relay-type true bypass, which automatically recalls the last on/bypass state when powered on.
