EHB Workshop Ibanez's incredibly popular headless model, the "EHB," now has a new, cost-effective model: the EHB600 series! This bass combines the portability that is the greatest advantage of the headless style with ease of playability. And above all, it features ingenuity in bass sound. Headless basses have often been said to be "not resonant" or "difficult to use," but Ibanez Bass Workshop has re-examined them and created a completely new headless bass, the EHB. It is not a copy of other headless models, nor is it simply a headless version of an existing design or shape. This is the birth of a new Ibanez bass, the EHB. The ergonomically designed EHB body features a horn that balances the body and neck when playing while standing, and is shaped for easy handling. The body curve on the treble string side is designed with particular emphasis on fit and balance when playing while seated. The body surface has a contoured design where the elbows rest, creating a slight bevel. Additionally, all body edges that come into contact with the body are finished with a smooth, rounded radius. The back of the body is boldly cut to become thinner towards the bass strings. This is designed to improve the fit when playing while seated, and also takes into account the angle at which the fingerboard inlays are viewed. In addition, the back of the horn on the treble string side is cut in a scooped shape to facilitate access to the higher frets. • EHB Ergonomic Body Design: The body design is ergonomically engineered to provide a balanced fit whether standing or sitting. The horn is shaped to balance the body and neck when standing and to be easy to hold, while the body curve on the treble string side is designed with particular emphasis on fit and balance when sitting.
