Every dru mmer embarks on a long journey in search of that one. The SLP Sound Lab Project was created to serve as a guidepost for such drummers. Not only does it offer a wide selection of shell materials, but it also features shell thickness measured down to the millimeter. And to maximize their potential, it incorporates newly developed hoops and tubular lugs in addition to existing parts. This combination creates a wide variety of sounds, making it a snare series suitable for all genres. This snare drum features a beautiful mapa burl outer ply and an extra-thick G maple shell. The maple shell is known for its bright, soft tone and clear sound. By increasing the number of shell plies (11mm/13ply) and molding it thicker than usual, the maple produces a powerful, bright sound with ample volume that won't drown out even in a loud band sound. The 2.3mm flange hoop delivers an open, expansive sound. The high-carbon snare enhances the sound's definition, providing greater control and a wider tuning range. It offers excellent control even at low pitches, while tuning it higher produces a more pronounced, clear sound. This versatile snare drum is suitable for everything from pop to hard rock. The black nickel hardware and dark brown painted shell further enhance the beautiful mapa burl grain.
