Used Sabian AAX Heavy Ride 22-inch now in stock! [AAX REVAMP 2019] In response to the trend for darker, more complex cymbal sounds, we've added a number of new rounded hammerings, which gives the cymbal a rich, complex overtone, unlike the conventional, linear, and clear AAX sound. The weight is slightly thinner than the existing model, improving response and suppressing unnecessary sustain. The original sparkling high range is complemented by a mellow low range, resulting in an extremely wide range of harmonic content. The cups are intentionally left unraveled with a wax bell finish, which controls peaky high frequencies and produces a familiar sound. [AAX Heavy Ride] It features a heavyweight, large, low bell and a dark sound that combines big hammering. It is slightly thinner than conventional heavy cymbals, and produces a clear medium-pitched stick sound along with a rich, calm mid- to low-range overtone.
