The VT Bass DI is a small stompbox that's ready for anything, any occasion. The VT Bass DI features three outputs, allowing for live performance, direct recording, preamp, and direct connection to a PA. With just one amp in your gig bag, you're ready to go, no matter where you're at. The VT Bass DI produces everything from the clean, fat SVT sound to earth-shaking, dirty sounds. No matter what setting you use, you can easily create ultra-thick sounds. By manipulating the CHARACTER control, you can even create the fat distortion sounds of the Crimson and King's X. This unit's 100% analog SANSAMP circuitry delivers the fat sound you expect from analog, while the CHARACTER control allows you to shape your sound in new ways. BLEND adjusts the blend (mix) ratio of direct sound to SANSAMP sound (sound passed through a tube amp emulation circuit). BITE emphasizes presence and cuts sub-audible frequencies with a low-frequency filter. The CHARACTER control is an innovative control that allows you to adjust the frequency, attack, and drive in accordance with the character of the amp that serves as the base for each model. The VT Bass MID control has a center frequency of 500Hz. ●You can incorporate this unit into your pedal board as an effector and use it as a distortion effector. By connecting this unit as a preamp to the RETURN of a power amplifier or bass amplifier, you can make the most of the sound of this unit without passing through an extra preamp.
