The circa 1980 Electro-Harmonix Attack Decay is a prized possession among vintage pedal enthusiasts. The original Attack Decay was called Tape Reverse Simulator and could create volume swells, reverse tape sounds, artificial short staccato and string-like effects. The new Attack Decay reinterprets the original, keeping all the cool features while adding several modern features that make it more convenient and enhanced. In addition to generating a single volume envelope like the original, you can also turn polyphony on and play to add a separate volume envelope to each sound. The built-in Harmonic Fuzz is a distortion with Gain, Tone, and Volume controls. The built-in effects loop allows musicians and sound designers to place a volume envelope on whatever signal is input into the return jack.
