Tenor saxophone, Buescher 400, top hat & cane Paint condition: Relacquered Body condition: ★★☆ Pad condition: ★★★★☆ Case condition: ★★★ (★ out of 5 points, ★: 1 ☆: 0.5) We have a u sed Buescher tenor saxophone in stock. This model was manufactured from 1941 to 1960, and features a carved top hat (silk hat) and cane, which is the origin of the model's name. This model features a uniquely shaped neck brace to prevent bending, a large bell, and a bell wreath (reinforcement plate). The lacquer has been repainted, and the engraving is generally faded. In terms of condition, the neck appears to be unlacquered, possibly due to extensive dent repair, and there are signs of resoldering on the brace to prevent bending. Other than that, there are signs of repair on the bell due to a bend, signs of repair on the U-tube and other dents throughout, and signs of resoldering on the key guard base of the Side F# key, but these do not affect playability. The pads have all been replaced with new ones as they have been overhauled in our shop. Our repair staff will inspect and adjust each item before shipping, so you can use it with confidence.
