[Used Pearl 2006 limited edition snare drum with 1.5mm thick copper shell now in stock!] Pearl 2006 Limited Edition Snare Drum Series [Code(#).6] [Development Concept] The main sou nd characteristic of copper, as can be seen from its use in materials like Tempani, is a mild and sweet resonance. By adding a ring to the center of the shell, the resonance is moderately tightened, and the sound characteristics are made more focused. The depth is set at 6 inches, in honor of the year 2006. However, a depth of 6.5'' would be too mild, blurring the core of the sound, and a depth of 5.5'' or less would emphasize the attack too much, deviating from the sound concept of this snare drum. Therefore, this depth is the one that provides the best balance. The wide UltraSound 42-strand snare wire contributes to creating a more voluminous sound. Even when using tight tension to create an attack, it doesn't become too tight, and a solid volume is maintained. This snare wire is especially essential for this snare drum, which is designed with the concept of "mildness and volume" in mind. The Mastercast hoop was selected to balance with the 42-strand snare wire. And to balance that tight feel, tubular lugs were used. To further enhance its visual presence, we opted for a black finish, including the logo. The thicker 1.5mm copper shell delivers powerful bass, yet the sound image remains clear and sharp, with a crisp attack.
