This guitar, with its striking natural color, is reminiscent of the beloved instrument of a rock icon! Since 1961, the Casino has remained a rock and roll standard as Epiphone's legendary best-selling archtop guitar. When it was first released in 1961, the Casino was just one model in a new thinline archtop series designed and produced at Epiphone's new factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan. That factory was shared with Gibson, a former rival with whom Epiphone had just formed a partnership. The situation changed dramatically when Keith Richards used a Casino while recording the demo for "Satisfaction" at Chess Records in Chicago during the Rolling Stones' 1965 US tour. Howlin' Wolf used a Casino on his first UK tour and appeared on the TV show "Thank You, Lucky Stars." Shortly after, John Lennon and George Harrison of the Beatles bought a Casino for their 1966 world tour, and the rest, as you all know, is history. This guitar features an Epiphone PRO P-90 dog-ear single-coil pickup and a layered maple body. It comes in two colors: natural and vintage sunburst. This used item is in the natural color. An Epiphone gig bag is included. We've just received a recommended used item! It's a 2024 model. There are some minor scratches, overall body wear, buckle wear, pickup cover wear, and tarnishing on the parts, but none of these affect playability or cause any problems. We have performed maintenance and cleaning at our shop, so this is a highly recommended guitar that you can use right away. All knobs have been replaced. (Manufacturer unknown) The frets have been leveled and are ready to use. Approximately 80% of the fret life remains. The nuts are in good working order and function normally. The truss rods also function correctly for normal adjustments. The electrical system has also been fully checked, so there are no problems with its operation. The weight is approximately 3.09 kg.
