Dave Grohl, the former drummer of the legendary band Nirvana and guitarist, singer, and songw riter for Foo Fighters, is an alternative rock legend who needs no introduction. He has long been a Gibson user, and his Gibson signature guitars, already released, are highly sought after and command premium prices on the used market. The Dave Grohl DG-335, a collaboration between Epiphone and Gibson Custom Shop, combines features of the ES-335 and Trini Lopez models, as requested by Dave and anticipated by fans. It boasts a wealth of specifications, including bound diamond soundholes, a semi-hollow ES body, an oval C-shaped neck profile, a one-piece mahogany neck, Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, a Trini Lopez-style headstock, and a laurel fingerboard with split diamond inlays. The pickups are Gibson USA Burstbuckers, a favorite of Dave's, with a Burstbucker 2 in the neck position and a Burstbucker 3 in the bridge position. These are wired to a CTS potentiometer, Mallory capacitor, Switchcraft 3-way toggle switch, and a 1/4" output jack. In terms of condition, there are some dents on the body edge, as well as some minor scratches and tarnishing on the parts.
