Purchased from Amigo Guitar Show. We've received a fantastic shipment of Alembic guitars from Nashville, the city of music, formerly owned by a musician! This is a vintage 1978 SSB bass. It was originally owned by Tony Lucid, the bassist of Heart, and appears to have been used professionally while being maintained. This vintage active bass has an indescribable charm, with the old-school high-fidelity sound that is characteristic of older Alembic basses. Despite its short scale, it has a solid, thick, and bass-like sound that is very appealing. While a phone jack output is also available (*1), the rich, high-resolution sound obtained by routing the signal through the DS-5 power supply, which provides ±15-20V, is truly the essence of the company's "Series I (PF-6)" circuit. *1: When a standard shielded cable (mono) is connected to the phone jack on the bass guitar, only the front pickup will output. There is some fret wear, but there is no buzzing, and all functions are fine, making it in good playing condition. There is a glue repair mark on the wood under the rear pickup, but it does not affect the strength of use, and there is a strap pin mounting mark on the back of the body. Otherwise, all parts have been maintained, readjusted, and cleaned at our shop. The included original hard case has a broken lock and is covered in stickers, but it has a nice vintage feel, like a case that has accompanied a musician on their career. The original 5-pin cable is also in working order, but some of the cable's outer sheath is peeling due to deterioration, so it might be a good idea to replace it. The power supply is also working without any problems. A great find from a musician! Don't miss out!! Original hard case, dedicated power supply (DS-5), 5-pin cable Scale: 30.75 inches Weight: ≈4.35kg
