Since its introduction in 1932, the L-00 has remained one of Gibson's most famous and popular small-bodied acoustic guitars in its illustrious history. The newly released L-00 Special is meticulously crafted by Gibson's skilled luthiers at their Bozeman, Montana factory, and is a USA-made Gibson acoustic guitar offered at a very attractive price. The L-00 Special features solid mahogany for the sides and back, and a solid Sitka spruce top with Gibson's traditional scalloped X-bracing, resulting in a balanced tone and an exceptional dynamic range despite its small body. The top and back of the body are decorated with single-ply binding. The L-00's slender, hourglass body shape produces a delicate sound with a focus on the midrange, and naturally delivers a tight bass response, ensuring it never loses its presence in a mix with other instruments. The tone produced is ideal for fingerstyle and blues, and it also shows high compatibility with other genres and playing styles. The neck, made of urrie wood, is joined to the body using a dovetail joint and glued with hide glue, just like other Gibson acoustic guitars. The neck shape features a Slim Taper™ profile, enabling comfortable and smooth playing. The 12-inch radius fingerboard is made of rosewood, features mother-of-pearl dot inlays, and has 19 standard frets. The closed-slot rectangular bridge is made of rosewood, and the saddle, nut, and bridge pins are made of TUSQ(R). The Grover(R) Mini Rotomatic(R) tuner, with its smooth tuning performance, ensures stable tuning. The L-00 Special is available in either satin vintage sunburst or satin wine red, both finished with satin nitrocellulose lacquer. Equipped with an LR Baggs Element Bronze undersaddle piezo pickup and active preamp, and with easy volume control accessible from the side of the soundhole, you can enjoy playing it instantly on stage or in the studio, right from the moment you take it out of the included premium softshell case. *The image is a sample.
