The "AURION" is a natural overdrive pedal that adds thickness, richness, and saturation to the sound while preserving the character and nuances of the original tone. From natural saturation that's an extension of the clean tone to a dense overdrive that brings out the contours of the phrases, it responds in a way that closely follows the expression of the performance. To precisely control the distortion's texture, it features Low, Character, and Tone controls that affect only the wet signal. You can individually adjust the low-end thickness, the core distortion frequency range, and the high-end texture. This allows you to freely create sounds ranging from warm to modern and clear. Rather than simply adjusting the output sound with an EQ, the AURION builds the sound through the tonal characteristics of the distortion itself. In this design philosophy, the AURION is both a natural overdrive and a preamp that shapes the sound with the texture of the distortion. The AURION's controls reflect SONIFIX's long-standing philosophy of "meticulously crafting distortion." In addition to Blend, Level, and Drive, it features Low, Character, and Tone controls that affect the wet signal. You can finely adjust the frequency range that is distorted, the thickness of the lows, and the texture of the highs. Note that scratch noise may occur when adjusting Blend and Level, but this is not a defect but a specification of the circuit design.■Controls are Blend This adjusts the balance between the original sound and the wet signal. Rather than exhibiting completely linear behavior, it's designed to achieve a natural balance based on the philosophy of "adding only the necessary amount of original sound for the wet sound." Even when pushed all the way to the wet side, it maintains an extremely natural texture, allowing the AURION's natural drive sound to come to the forefront. Level This adjusts the wet signal level. Due to the circuit design, the level will be slightly higher near the center. Drive Adjust the amount of distortion. When set low, it functions as a preamp for light saturation and texture that can be used on all the time. When set high, it becomes a dense drive sound that brings phrases and solos to the forefront. Low This adjusts the low-frequency thickness of the wet signal. Increasing the low frequencies adds thickness and weight to the sound image. Conversely, reducing the low frequencies results in a tighter, more manageable drive sound with less bloat. Character This is the central control of the AURION, which changes the frequency range that is distorted. By adjusting the center of gravity of the distortion and the frequency range that responds, you can create a wide range of sounds, from a thick, round, vintage-like drive to a modern, well-defined sound. It's not just a tone correction, but a control that changes the way distortion occurs itself. Tone This adjusts the high frequencies of the wet signal. You can control the brightness, clarity, and edge of the distortion. Setting it higher will result in a clear and well-defined sound.
