The Megatone mouthpiece was developed to meet the needs of many trumpet players who wanted a thick, powerful tone. By more than doubling the mass of the mouthpiece's exterior and slightly widening the throat, it achieves a deep tone with less resistance and easier control. It has a wide dynamic range across the entire register from pp to ff, and delivers a warm, powerful sound without distortion.
