The stage guitar features a solid spruce body with a thin layer of solid flame maple laminated onto it, and employs a spruce bracing pattern that was researched specifically for this model. The new ergonomically designed body shape is carved from solid mahogany, and the hollow body, with its laminated top, maintains a rich acoustic tone while achieving a body thickness of 40mm that is easy to handle on stage. The Cordoba Fusion series features a 16-inch radius neck with a fingerboard and a 48mm nut width, making it a comfortable guitar for players and suitable for a variety of genres. The black burst finish on the flame maple and the gloss polyurethane finish give it a luxurious and sophisticated look. The electronics employ a new, unique Fishman system combining a 3-point pickup system with two under-saddle contacts and three controls: Volume, Bass Response, and Blend.
