It all begins with the unexpected disappearance of the businessman, whose trail is immediately pursued not only by the police, thanks to a publicized financial incentive. Although the search initially leads only to more and more questions, gradually the individual strands begin to merge into one powerful flow, ultimately culminating in a horrifying scene that none of those involved wanted... The author, writing under a pseudonym, is a former criminal investigator, and his story is based on the realities of police work. As a former detective, he can confront readers not only with the actions of the individual characters in the story but also with the procedures and methods of those whose task it is to map and uncover such behavior.
