If the first prose text by poet Daniel Hradecký was titled The Ruins of One Diary, his new prose could confidently follow with the subtitle The Ruins of One Novel. The trio of linguistically polished, shorter prose pieces is filled with testimonies about the individual's struggle with existence on the edge, not only of social exclusion but also of that ontological abyss. The more constrained the narrator's world is by circumstances, the broader his mind's scope during a harshly ironic analysis of the surrounding world. Alcohol, family pathology, northern Bohemia, but also an unyielding will – these are the components of a telescope aimed at the cold darkness of the universe.
