This is ideal for drummers seeking a unique sound personality, suitable for live performances and recordings. -Pure Walnut Shell- Made from 100% walnut wood, the snare drum features a 12-ply VLT shell. -VLT- VLT (Vertical Low Timber) shells are constructed with vertical plies positioned to minimize tension, resulting in a lower pitch than conventional shells. This creates a low-tuned sound with excellent sustain and attack. In VLT shells, the outermost and innermost plies are arranged vertically, rather than horizontally as in conventional designs.
