A 1982 Fender USA Precision Bass Special in Arctic White! One of the distinguishing features of this bass is its white pickup covers, active circuitry, and brass bridge. The body i s made of solid ash, and the combination of a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard produces a thick, full-bodied low end, while the high frequencies are tight and have a prominent attack. The treble/bass 2EQ controls produce a wide-ranging, modern Precision Bass tone, and switching to passive mode with the switch changes the treble knob to a passive tone, recreating a classic Fender sound. The body and neck are both dated 1982, the pickups are gray bobbins and the date is faded but is likely 1982. All three potentiometers are dated 1981. The nut groove was deep, suggesting it was previously used as a lefty guitar. We replaced the nut and leveled it in our workshop, ensuring excellent playability. The strap pins have been replaced with Dunlop locking pins, and the finger ramp is missing. The guitar shows overall discoloration, dents, and tarnishing on the parts.
