James Hetfield (METALLICA) Signature Model The "SNAKEBYTE," a guitar favored by James Hetfield, the frontman of the globally popular monster rock band "Metallica," features a body and head shape that James himself evolved from the design of his long-loved MX-II (EXP). The body and neck are made of mahogany, and the neck, which has an ebony fingerboard with a snake inlay at the 12th fret, is joined using a set-neck method. It is equipped with EMG JH Set pickups, and the bridge uses TonePros T3BT and T1Z. The camouflage pattern used in the SNAKEBYTE CAMO is based on a design created by KUIU, a high-performance hunting gear manufacturer in the United States. This design was personally selected by James Hetfield. A hard case and certificate of authenticity with the same design are included. A portion of the proceeds from the ESP SNAKEBYTE CAMO will be donated to the All Within My Hands Foundation, a charity run by Metallica.
